Direct from the survivors:
"It's not just about healing. It's about saving lives."
— Clarissa Turner, survivor
“We are six living family members of homicide victims, and we write this with all of our pain, anger, sorrow, and grief as motivation. Between us, we have lost three sons, a mother, a brother, and a nephew. Sadly, we know too many others like us. Violence tears at the fabric of our communities, and when any person is harmed, killed, or incarcerated, a great void is left behind. Through restorative justice, we have each been able to find a measure of comfort, and the process has contributed greatly to repairing our spirits and relationships.
We can’t bring our loved ones back…but we can bring them forward in everything we do.”
