DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Robert "Bobby" Iacoviello is the dynamic, energetic, passionate and charismatic heart of TPP. He is also the face of TPP, as I’m sure you’ve seen him at every single community event in MA in the past five years! Bobby serves as the Director of Community Outreach for TPP, where he leverages over a decade of RJ experience to cultivate and nurture strategic relationships with community partners to advance the mission of TPP. In other words- he does it all. Bobby is tireless in his advocacy for and support of the community, and seems to bend time and space in his ability to somehow continually be everywhere at once. He never misses an opportunity to support others, whether lending a helping hand, tabling at an event, or cheering from the crowd. While he may be a short king, his presence is giant! His loud, lovable Boston accent and giant smile make him impossible to miss and fill any space he is in with palpable energy and joy.
Central to Bobby’s professional prowess is his personal journey, which includes a transformative experience with RJ during his own incarceration. Eager to challenge societal biases surrounding incarceration and system-impacted individuals, Bobby openly shares his own journey of growth in efforts to remind others that change is indeed possible. His resilience and commitment to positive change are exemplified by his academic achievements, having earned a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Boston University.
Bobby’s lived experience enables him to expertly connect theory and practice in a way that grants him a unique and intimate understanding of cycles of harm and healing. His ability to make vulnerability “cool” and approachable is quite literally life-saving for the individuals that he works with, especially emerging adults. As one of our youth put it, “When I was arrested, the first person I thought of and wanted to talk to was Bobby. I know that if he could get through it, I can get through it too.” Bobby is the role model and support system that we all needed when we were younger, and TPP is so lucky to have him.
